The programme focuses on safe ventilation management, escalation processes, monitoring, emergency response and practical workforce competency within community and residential care environments.

MJW Healthcare Solutions delivers clinically led training aligned to safe delivery, operational assurance and higher-acuity complex care capability.

Who is the training for

Training Content

Ventilation in the community requires skilled, confident staff who understand respiratory support, equipment management, and the early recognition of deterioration. As more individuals with complex respiratory needs are supported in home and community environments, care teams must be equipped with the knowledge and practical skills required to deliver safe, effective ventilation support.

This full-day clinical training programme provides a comprehensive introduction to ventilation in community and complex care settings. The course covers respiratory physiology, types of ventilation, equipment and circuit management, routine care, monitoring, alarm recognition, troubleshooting, and emergency response. Training includes practical demonstrations and scenario-based learning.

Key Learning

  • Understand respiratory anatomy and ventilation principles

  • Identify types of ventilation (NIV and invasive)

  • Manage ventilation equipment safely

  • Deliver safe routine care and monitoring

  • Recognise early deterioration

  • Respond appropriately to alarms and emergencies

Training Approach

MJW Healthcare Solutions delivers clinically led training combining evidence-based teaching, practical demonstration, and competency-based assessment. Participants leave with both theoretical knowledge and practical understanding of safe ventilation care.
